Lost or stolen card?

If you believe your card or PIN record has been lost or stolen, or your PIN has become known to someone else, you should IMMEDIATELY report this.

Call Police Credit during business hours

    13 63 73 within Australia

Outside normal business hours contact Visa

    24 hr Emergency Hotline free call 1800 224 004

 When overseas contact

    Visa on +61 2 9959 7686

You will be given a reference number, which you should keep as proof of the date and time of your report, and you should advise Police Credit as soon as you can that you have made a report. We will then be able to place a stop on your card and order you a new card, which will take five to seven business days to arrive. Your new card will have a new PIN and Visa number.

If you were using your old card for direct debiting (by providing the Visa number), you will need to inform each biller.

If the Emergency Hotline is not operating when you try to use it for notification purposes, any losses occurring due to non-notification will be the liability of Police Credit, but only if you notify the Emergency Hotline within a reasonable time after it becomes operative.

If the loss, theft or misuse occurs outside Australia, you must notify a financial institution displaying the Visa logo. You must also then confirm the loss, theft or misuse of the card with Police Credit by telephone or priority paid mail as soon as possible.
