PC Visa Debit Card

Police Credit’s PC Visa Debit Card is an access card that enables you to have electronic access to your at-call account savings or overdraft. You can use your PC Visa Debit Card at any ATM and EFTPOS outlet to pay bills or make purchases online and over the phone; and at any retail store displaying the Visa logo. Your PC Visa Debit Card enables you to:

Access cash at ATMs worldwide displaying the Visa symbol

Purchase goods and services at merchants worldwide displaying the Visa symbol

Purchase goods and obtain cash at EFTPOS terminals throughout Australia

Features of this card

The PC Visa Debit Card allows you to initiate and conduct transactions through an Electronic Banking Terminal via the combined use of your Visa card and a PIN; and perform other transactions via the telephone with the use of your Visa card alone.

Police Credit’s PC Visa Debit Card acts like a Debit card, NOT a credit card – a product specially created to give you better control of your personal finances; and effectively help you avoid a build up of high interest attracting credit card debt.

You can use your PC Visa Debit Card at restaurants, department stores, supermarkets or other merchants, accessing your at-call account savings and/or overdraft by:

Withdrawing funds at an ATM using the savings button

Paying for your purchase over the phone

Paying for your purchase at any EFTPOS terminal using the credit button

Providing an additional Visa card

All PC Visa Debit Card holders can apply to have Police Credit issue an additional card to someone else. But before you nominate who that person is, it pays to ask yourself two important questions – ‘Do I trust them to use the card responsibly?’ and ‘Am I comfortable with them having full access to the money held in my linked account, or (where you have an overdraft facility) full access to the credit limit?’ If the answer is ‘Yes’ on both counts, by all means provide them with a card – knowing that whilst YOU are liable for all withdrawal transactions that THEY carry out, there shouldn’t be a problem. You are always free to cancel an additional card by giving written notice to Police Credit.

Important advice on Visa Card Security

It is most important that you keep your PIN safe, secure and ‘your secret’ at all times - and remain watchful for any unauthorised transaction occurring on your account. This will help you to report any loss, theft or misuse of your PIN to us in a timely manner; and lessen the likelihood of being liable for all or part of any financial loss suffered.
