What is mobile phone banking?

Mobile phone banking is internet banking for your mobile phone. Mobile banking makes banking even easier and more convenient.

ACCESS


Who can use mobile phone banking?

If you have a web enabled mobile phone or smart phone such as an iPhone or Blackberry and have registered for pc.easynet you should be able to access mobile phone banking.

Mobile phone banking is now available for iPad, Android and Windows 7 phones. This is in addition to our existing iPhone and Blackberry banking sites.

How do I access mobile banking?

Simply log onto http://policecredit.com.au on your mobile phone. This will automatically re-direct you to the ‘Mobile Banking’ landing page. If this does not work, log onto https://pc-easynet.policecredit.com.au/mobile, then select ‘Mobile Banking’ on the landing page.
Your member number and password is exactly the same as your existing pc.easynet login.

Do I need to register for PC mobile phone banking?

Not if you are already registered for pc.easynet. You can access mobile banking, by going to policecredit.com.au.

If you are not registered for pc.easynet, you can register online at policecredit.com.au. Simply click here to register for pc.easynet, alternatively you can call Member Response on 13 63 73 & press 3 or visit one of our branches.

What Police Credit accounts can I access with mobile phone banking?

You can access the same accounts as pc.easynet.

Please note, you cannot access the following via mobile phone banking:

small arrow Webloans
small arrow Card activation
small arrow BPAY View

Can I use mobile phone banking while I am overseas?

Yes as long as you have activated international roaming on your mobile phone. It is important to be aware that additional charges may apply when using mobile phone banking whilst overseas. Please contact your mobile service provider for details of associated fees and charges.


USEABILITY


Will mobile banking look the same on all mobile phones?

As there are many different mobile phones there may be slight variations between handsets, however, all the features remain the same.

What type of browser should I use?

It is preferable to use the standard browser on your mobile phone, as not all mobile phone browsers are supported i.e. Opera browser not supported on iPhone or Blackberry.

How to do I get Mobile Phone Banking to display better on my Blackberry Bold Mobile Phone?

Blackberry Bold users may find Mobile Banking displays better when using ‘Column view’.
The browser settings can be easily set to ‘Column view’ as follows:

  1. Open the Web Browser
  2. Select menu button (button with blackberry logo) and choose ‘Options’
  3. Select ‘General Properties’ from the menu selection
  4. Scroll down to ‘Default View:’
  5. Change Default View property default setting ‘Page View’ to ‘Column View’
  6. Save the changes

Blackberry Bolds should display much better with this view selected. The default setting in Blackberry Bold is usually ‘Page view’.

Can I use mobile phone banking on more than one phone?

Yes pc.easynet users can access mobile banking from any phone that can access the Internet with an SSL capable “cookie” enabled browser. Remember not to store sensitive information on any mobile phone, particularly phones you share. You should particularly avoid storing internet banking information, bank balance, card number, passwords and PINs.

Can I make transfers with mobile phone banking?

Yes. If you want to transfer money to a Police Credit account or a third party account, select the transfer button on the main menu.

Can I pay a bill on my mobile?

Yes, paying a bill is easy with mobile phone banking, simply select the BPAY option on your mobile phone. Please note that not all of the features of BPAY are currently available with mobile banking.

It is taking me a long time to log on, is this normal?

Connection speed will vary due to:

small arrow Mobile network congestion


USAGE CHARGES


Do I have to pay anything for mobile phone banking?

Police Credit does not charge a fee for mobile banking however a standard mobile phone service provider data access charge may apply. For further information regarding data access charges please contact your mobile service provider.


SECURITY


Is mobile phone banking secure?

PC mobile phone banking offers many of the same features as pc.easynet, which includes protection via our VeriSign SSL certificate so you can feel confident when using mobile banking that your personal information is being protected. You should follow similar security precautions as you do with a personal computer.

Remember to be mindful not to store sensitive information on your mobile phone. You should particularly avoid storing internet banking information, bank balance, card number, passwords and PINs.

What if I lose my phone or it is stolen?

Contact your mobile phone service provider immediately to notify them of the loss.

Mobile phone banking can be disabled through pc.easynet by:

  1. Logon onto pc.easynet and select ‘Mobile Banking’ from the ‘Other’ menu
  2. Choose to disable ‘Mobile Banking’ access

Please note, once disabled, you will need to contact Member Response on 13 63 73 to re-establish access.

Why was I logged out when I answered a phone call whilst using mobile phone banking?

To maximise your security, only one application can be used at one time. Your session may time out while you are taking a phone call.
